THE SUNNY INSTITUTE
TRAUMA INFORMED & CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE SUPPORT FOR ALL
WORDS FROM OUR FOUNDER
Hi, my name is Dr. Halima Dargan (she/her). I am a counselor, a counselor supervisor, and a counselor educator. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, I use my clinical expertise and my lived experience to collaboratively build programming that uplifts youth and their families, guides counselors-in-training, and empowers communities. I take pride in being a model of what’s possible when we commit to our healing and rewrite our narrative. I strongly believe that when we do the work, not only do be break cycles, we build legacies.
